The game is a little complicated and takes a some time to get familiar with the concept. Not a great game if you want to just have some somple and easy fun. This one is for those people who love a difficult challenge.

This game is perfect for high school students and adults especially if you have a sense of humor. We had some very funny stories created and we laughed a lot. Everyone learned some new words too.

I got this game as a birthday present in February. I finally got around to opening it and brought it to my Sunday game group. They liked it a lot. During the first round, one played fooled three of the other four players with his bluff answer. One other person actually knew the correct answer to two of the phrases and wrote it down, before hearing the choices. This game is similar to Balderdash and Malarky in which players submit bluff answers and then try to guess which of the answers is the correct one. I like games that involve bluffing, so I’ll definitely be bringing this game back to the group on a regular basis. The only problem with games like this is sometimes you can’t read an answer because the person’s handwriting is awful. Other than that, a good game where you can learn something.

What I really like about this game is that it is very informative and educational but in a really, really fun way. You have to guess the origins on a number of different sayings and expressions but you also get to try and bluff about the origin, which can be really funny! I’ve always wanted to know what a lot of these expressions mean and now I know! Great game for the whole family!

The game “Origins” says it’s for 2-4 players, but we played with nine players last night (at a Mensa games night) and had a wonderful evening. The questions are fun, challenging, and fascinating. I came to Amazon this morning in the hope that there would be a volume 2 or a newer edition, because we used up the whole box, and the same group cannot use the same cards twice (everyone would remember the answers). So like Trivial Pursuit, the game designer has to unveil a new edition SOON!

This board game takes a few minutes for players to get into but once they figure out that you don’t have to know the answer and that you can B.S. your way to winning, they love it. It is fun and very interesting. Never know when some of the questions will end up on a Trivia night. Worth the time and effort.
