Project 365: Scrabble, Original Version
Saturday, 27 March 2010
After having played Scrabble mostly online for the past few years (especially Scrabulous when it was still around, and now Words With Friends), I was a little nervous to play the REAL Scrabble board game at Recess.
What did I learn? I am way to dependent on computers. On the online versions, you have dictionaries handy, you can spend lots more time thinking about a word without worrying about your opponents getting tired of waiting, you don’t have to add up your own score. Can you say spoiled?
In the end I didn’t whip my opponent’s butts, but I also didn’t lose miserably without my handicaps, as I feared. Second place isn’t bad, and to be fair, the winner was actually a team of two, but I won’t hold that against them. Well played everyone!
Day 352: Words with friends

My old roommate invited me to play Words with Friends with him on the iPhone. I like how it uses notifications to tell me when it’s my turn.
