Mike Ivanov and I played Scrabble tonight. I got my ass kicked: he won by 58 points, and it would have been more if he’d been able to place his last letter, a V. I’d like to point out a couple of the more awesome words we came up with:
Mike:
box [+ex + so] (55 points: X was on a triple letter score)
squadron (he extended "quad")
mafia [+ soda] (included double word score)
zoo (24 points, double word score)
ore [+ere] (dropping an "r" in the middle of that square was classy)
Me:
greedy [+leased + boxy] (45 points)
wye (I just love this word)
inlet (ditto 🙂
ewe
