Multilingual Scrabble

This was a Scrabble game played between eight people in June 2005. We played in teams of two, allowing Dutch, English, French and Spanish. Each language was spoken by people on at least two teams, to prevent cheating by made-up words! It was great fun – and it took a lot less time than unilingual Scrabble.

The North Platte Telegraph The Connection Homeless Shelter director Ron Snell does resemble to a certain pink bunny. He keeps going and going and going. One year ago he was in the middle of a 3,100-bicycle ride around Nebraska to raise money for the shelter. With the new facility at 414 East Sixth Street up and going, Snell is turning his attention back to fundraising and fitness.

A bike ride to find a letter

Dwane Cochran is the 2010 Scrabble Scramble champion. Cochran earned a total of 91 points by adding an “s” to “Scramble” and making the word “swollen” on the Scrabble board. Cochran received a gift certificate to the Canteen Bar and Grill.
